Company Overview: Pride Ag is a reputable Cooperative dedicated to excellence in every aspect of our operations. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Branch Manager Trainee.

Job Summary:
As a Branch Manager Trainee, you will gain hands-on experience by rotating between facilities and supporting Branch Managers in daily operations. This role serves as a foundation for developing into a Location Branch Manager. Your responsibilities will encompass overseeing branch operations, including administration, grain, fertilizer, fuel, feed, seed, chemicals, and propane. You will focus on enhancing customer and employee satisfaction, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, and contributing to company profitability and asset management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acquire comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of branch management.
  • Develop supervisory skills for effective employee engagement.
  • Assist in hiring, performance evaluation, coaching, and termination of staff.
  • Ensure safety training and compliance with OSHA and EPA standards.
  • Engage in marketing and sales initiatives.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations and provide guidance to branch employees.
  • Complete necessary paperwork and reports for the Grain Department Manager.
  • Troubleshoot issues and resolve operational challenges.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of experience in grain and/or agronomy operations, preferably as an elevator superintendent.
  • Valid CDL Class A or willingness to obtain within six months of hire.
  • 7B Pesticide Certification or ability to acquire within three months of hire.
  • Familiarity with operational policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of grain inspection and care practices.
  • Proficient computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Supervisory experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Science or a related field.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in extreme weather conditions.
  • Capability to lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Proficiency in lifting, bending, twisting, turning, and climbing ladders to significant heights.
