Job Title: Branch Manager

Reports To: Operations Manager

Position Summary

The Branch Manager is responsible for overseeing all operations at the assigned branch location. This includes administrative leadership and management of grain, fertilizer, fuel, feed, seed, chemical, and propane services. The role focuses on delivering customer satisfaction, employee performance, safety compliance, operational efficiency, and overall branch profitability. Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations—including OSHA and EPA—is a key responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead hiring, performance evaluations, coaching, and, when necessary, termination of branch staff
  • Enforce and promote safety policies and procedures; ensure OSHA and EPA compliance
  • Support agronomy and feed sales, and participate in local marketing efforts
  • Direct and assist with daily operations and task execution at the branch
  • Complete and submit required reports and documentation to the Grain Manager
  • Proactively identify and resolve operational or personnel-related issues

Minimum Requirements

  • Valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License)
  • Working knowledge of branch operations, policies, and procedures
  • Experience with grain inspection and proper grain handling/care
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with operational software

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, wind, or precipitation
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 pounds
  • Must be physically capable of bending, twisting, turning, and climbing ladders to significant heights
  • Must be able to perform physical tasks consistent with agricultural and industrial environments
